SELLING YOUR BOOKS
Cleaning out? Moving? Estate clearance? We maintain the high quality of our stock through selective buying. We are always interested in buying individual books and large collections. Books must be in excellent condition (covers and pages must be intact and clean and books should have no odor from smoke, mildew/mold or scent-infusers) and we do not purchase textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias, or romance novels. For significant numbers, we are happy to schedule a home visit and travel beyond the immediate Savannah area to look at collections. For smaller quantities, we ask that you call ahead for an appointment and bring them to us at the shop on the agreed upon day and time (appointments are never scheduled for our busiest in-shop days, that is, Saturdays and Sundays). We offer prices according to your books’ condition, edition, and resale value. You may choose cash or store credit as payment. Books that are determined to have significantly higher value and might be of interest to collectors are possible candidates for consignment.
No, you probably won't get rich selling us your books, but you will get some nice pocket change, a fair price for your used books, and the assurance that you will be passing your books on to very appreciative readers!

Please, no drop-in solicitations! All authors interested in submitting their existing or upcoming books for stocking or event consideration should email their complete press packets for review to books@thebookladybookstore.com. While we try to send a personal response when time permits, we are not always able to do so as we receive a large number of solicitations daily and are very busy with in-store customers. We WILL get back to you IF we are able to carry your book or want to discuss a possible event.
