Open shop hours are currently Wednesday-Saturday 10-5:30, Sunday 10-4, Monday 10-5:30.
We are CLOSED on Tuesdays (usually out buying more great books for the shop!)
*We advise customers to call ahead (912-233-3628) to double check that we are open in case you are making a special trip, as hours do vary from time to time.
Book purchasing appointments and appraisals must be arranged by appointment. Please email requests to books@thebookladybookstore.com, or call the shop at 912-233-3628.
Author event requests & stocking requests must be emailed to books@thebookladybookstore.com. No stop-in, in-person solicitations, please! When emailing, please include complete press packet, including brief author bio & contact info, book description, publisher &/or distributor contact info, jpegs of author photo & book, and any review blurbs.
Book searches & orders for new or used books, plus preorders of new books not yet released, can be made by email, books@thebookladybookstore.com, or by phone, 912-233-3628. Facebook & Instagram messages will be received but our response time will be speedier if contacted by email or phone.
Current covid precautions*:
Since March of 2020, our covid-19 safety restrictions have necessarily evolved as public health data and guidance have evolved. From initially closing the shop for two months, offering curbside service & delivery, reopening with capacity limits and mask requirements (& complying with city mask mandates), we are now evolving again.
Our staff is now fully vaccinated and double-boosted and we practice extra caution with home testing. Staff is required to notify the shop of any exposure to covid or, if they are experiencing symptoms, to isolate and to show proof of a negative covid test before returning to work. We are careful and mindful, and hope that our customers are too.
Masks are now strongly recommended for customers with health challenges that may put them at greater risk of dangerous covid outcomes, as we are a cozy (read “small and not well-ventilated”) bookstore where social distancing is not always possible, especially on busy weekends. Please do not visit the shop if you have had a covid exposure in the last 5 days or if experiencing symptoms. Customers must assess their own risk tolerance with an in-person visit. And as always, we ask for your cooperation to keep our staff, staff families and our entire community safe.

Author events have resumed! We are currently scheduling in-person and off-site events after the long interruption of our usually busy calendar.

No-contact service still available. Payment can be made over the phone to ensure no-contact transactions and we also accept payments through Paypal.
