More About the Author:

A former newspaper journalist, Helen Bradley has written curricula, essays, and articles for the National Organization for Victim Assistance, the National Center for Victims of Crime, and the Georgia Victim Assistance Academy. Her writing has been published in The Savannah Anthology, Savannah Magazine, The Savannah Morning News, and Law Enforcement Magazine. She volunteered for 10 years with Deep Center, a Savannah youth literacy program that won a 2015 National Endowment for the Arts award.

Bradley enjoys devouring chocolate chip cookies, practicing yoga, and reading obituaries. She lives in Savannah with her husband, teenage grandson, and an antisocial rescue cat.

Conveniently located on Wilmington Island (right next door to Sunrise Restaurant), Islands Cottage Art Studio and Gallery is a fun place for both locals and hostess city visitors to immerse themselves in the community and local art scene. Owner & island resident Crystal Travaille wanted to create a space to sell art created by locals and offer classes for young and old in the visual, performance, musical and healing arts. Drum circles, belly dancing and painting classes are popular evening classes among adults of all ages. After school classes, summer camps, and birthday parties for children are in demand.
