April Genevieve Tucholke is the bestselling author of several books, including Rebecca the White House Raccoon (Algonquin, 2025) The Secret Life of Hidden Places (Workman 2024), Merry and Hark: A Christmas Story, Beatrice Likes the Dark (a Book Lady favorite picture book!), and The Boneless Mercies (another Book Lady favorite for our YA readers!). She was a finalist for the Southern Book Prize, and her acclaimed, award-winning books have been published in sixteen countries and have received ten starred reviews. Antwan Eady is the author of the awarding-winning and critically acclaimed picture book Nigel and the Moon (HarperCollins) which you’ll always find on Book Lady shelves, along with upcoming titles The Last Stand, Poemhood: Our Black Revival (a Young Adult poetry anthology), The Gathering Table, Micah’s Rise, and Before the Bridge.
