The Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home is continuing their annual tradition with the Robert Strozier Memorial Christmas Reading! This year will feature the irascible (& James Thurber Award-winning author) Harrison Scott Key, so make some hot cocoa, or a moonshine hot toddy, and tune in to the FO’C YouTube channel Christmas Eve for a funny and oh-so-Southern afternoon storytelling session.
Can't join us at 4? No problem - the video will be available for viewing whenever you are itching to see it.
Harrison Scott key will read the short story "A Christmas Memory" by Truman Capote. This tradition was started in the parlor of the Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home by Dr. Robert Strozier, one of the founding members of the nonprofit foundation that now manages the home. Strozier was a beloved professor at Armstrong University and tireless volunteer for all things Flannery. He died in April 2019, and FOCCH dedicates each year's reading to his memory.
