Women's Suffrage at 100: Exploring the Legacy of the 19th Amendment with author Sarah Milov

Dr. Sarah Milov, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Virginia, and author of The Cigarette:A Political History (Harvard University Press, 2019) will give an address entitled "Women’s Suffrage at 100: Exploring the Legacy of the 19th Amendment".

Co-sponsored by The Georgia Historical Society and the UVA Club of Savannah with book sales provided onsite by The Book Lady Bookstore.

Dr. Milov is former fellow of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. She has written on the tobacco industry, the rise of e-cigarettes, and the grassroots fight to battle climate change. Her research explores how organized interest groups and everyday Americans influence government policy.

The event is free & open to the public.
